Surveys predict coal exists for another hundred years on earth. CTL technology (coal to liquid) seems to very successful in industry. Will these factors bring CTL technology as a top option for fuel crisis and slowdown and minimize enthusiasm on bio refinery?

Hard to say.

The first step would be to look at Shells gas to liquid plants.

In a CTL plant, extra processing will be required so that the coal can be used in the gassification reactor as well as more difficult reactor conditions. Also many people will say that it is better to just burn the coal and go toward an electrical car scheme.

Dear Padmakar,

It would be nice if you could post some information about your coal to liquids project. I'm going to start my final design project in that subject, and your information would be very useful.

Thank you in advance,
