Dear all,

I'm looking for HCl absorption data...in particular I would need the heat of absorption (in water at different conc) at different temperatures...Where can I find some data?
Many thanks

Hi ,
Perry's chemical handbook should be a great resource.
Hope this helps

Thanks Breizh but I couldn't find any data about the absorption entalpy of HCl in water (neither in Perry's nor in the QVF site...)

Hi Marco ,
Additional info about HCL/ water system , from Krebs (heat of dissolution versus concentration) and from Japan (vapour pressure) .

Hope this will support your query

Ciao Marco,

I've always used data from NIST website... and "mine" HCl absorption columns are still working well - since yesterday, at least.

just in case you're working on an absorption process: pay attention to V/L equilibrium and to azeotropic conc.
if I well remember, you can even refer to wiki's italian page for such data.

Hi,

Please use Enthalpy Concentration diagram from Parry and Chilton .Fig 3-24.For HCl ,Handbook has rich compilation of data.

The thread "Concentration of dilute Hydrochloric acid solution" may be also useful.
Look at http://www.cheresour...h__1#entry47538.
