For some given information, how do you determine if the water is subcooled, saturated, or superheated water?
Given:
85F
17 bar
How do you find the enthalpy of the content at this condition?

Johnny:
By experience, I can tell that the water in question is a subcooled liquid. I suggest you go to:
http://webbook.nist......&STUnit=lb/ft
Where you will find an isobaric html table of water properties at 17 barA (I had to assume you mean absolute bars, since you failed to indicate it) and a range of temperatures from 80 to 90 oF.
There you see the physical state of the water identified as a liquid in the far right column. All the thermo properties are listed in the corresponding columns.
By using this NIST site you can get all the Thermodynamic values of water and 33 other compounds - all FREE.
