Good Morning everyone,

I'm working at this moment in a conceptual engineering of Extra-heavy crude oil production facilities. We're conceptualizing an early production phase which consists in two wellpads (each one with 26 wells), test separators, multiphase pumps and treating facilities.

Here's the thing, we're visualizing several chemical injection packages (Demulsifier, corrosion inhibitor and anti-foam) and we need to know typical dosing for these chemical in this kind of process. We've found out the following:

Demulsifier: 125 - 135 ppmv
Corrosion inhibitor: 10 - 50 ppmv

However, we have not found a similar range for antifoam chemical; the point of injection of this chemical shall be at the inlet of test separator in order to guarantee an accurate measurement of the well production.

About the crude oil, as I mentioned, it's extra heavy crude oil (8°API) with a GOR of 550 SCF/Bbl and 25% of water cut and will be diluted with a crude oil of 30°API.

It's just the visualization phase, however, I would like to have an approximation of the dosing, based on the experience, and I'm sure this is the right place to find that kind of information.

Thanks in advance.

Fr3dd,

Required Antifoam dosage should be established by on-site testing. Normal treating range varies 1 to 25 ppm, based on total produced liquid flowrate (Oil + Produced water). See attached product datasheet
