Dear all,
i have first assignment on calculation compressor performance.
one of parameter compressor performance is head.
Do you know what is head?
and after i calculated, head has unit in meter.
what the head show?

http://www.cheresour...gal-compressor/ is a thread of Cheresources to explain centrifugal compressor polytropic head. It seems that meaning of mentioned head is work exerted per unit mass of the gas (dimensions M^2/L^2), not meters of fluid as in a pump.
Last Web reference, reported by Ankur in his post, gives a formula for head having dimensions as above.
