Check the internet, mate. Usually they compress natural gas to liquify it, thus lesser volume is required for storing.

Technically, natural gas (almost all methane which has a criticial temperature of about -80 C) can't be liquified at normal temperatures.
As noted the idea behind either compressing or liquifying natural gas is to store more material in a smaller space. With CNG, you can't store as much as LNG, but you can store it at room temperature. With LNG you can store more material, but you have to have a way to refrigerate it to keep it liquid.
