Hi Rahul,

Why not develop the commission procedure(s) in MS Project? You can detail every step involved, set resources, give each activity a time, set its predecessors and successors and develop bar charts of the commissioning program plant item by plant item and also for the entire project.

Best regards,

LRS

Hai,
The line is subject to leak test by admitting air (pneumatic test which is 1.25 times of the design pressure.
Then the air is to bereplaced with Nitrogen. The line is completely depressurised, pressurised with Nitrogen to about 0.3 to 0.5 bar and as many vents as possible to be opened to bring down the Oxygen content to less than 3%. Once after achieving this target figure, the line is to be purged at single point vent by keeping positive and continuous flow of Nitrogen to reach 0.1 % which is acceptable to admit hydrocarbon.
Normally 3 to 5 times of line volume is required to successfully inertise the hydrocarbon line.Whether to inertise the line with steam depends on process requirement.
