Hi there!

I'm entirely new to the unit operation wherein the concentration of the desired sugar content is obtained only through chromatography. In our process, xylose, mannose, galactose, glucose, and arabinose are separated to several fractions in which the concentration of xylose is desired. I barely understood how these things happened and i'm really having a dilemma on how to create a mass balance equation on this one. I just patterned the mass balance on the existing patent on xylitol manufacturing but again, i can't make the energy and equipment design. Can anybody offer me some literatures?

Thanks!

Sincerely yours,

Jopeth
