We are in the process of installing an Ammonia Storage Tank of 10000 MT capacity. The mew proposed Tank is Double wall double integrity (Cup in cup) tank with suspended deck on inner tank.

We are to finalize the Material of Construction (MOC) of Outer tank and inner tank shell, roof, structures, bottom plates and annular plates. But there is some confusion over the MOC of roof and roof structures holding suspended deck. We have come across the details of three tank, which are attached herewith.

I request the forum members to please guide me for the selection of MOC of roof and roof structures holding suspended deck. Why the three tanks in the attached file are having different MOC for different parts? What material should be used in terms of cost economics?

As far as I know, the selection of MOC should be based on API 620 app R.
