hi all,
i have seen many long pipelines with a bend in them like a u-shape bend...what's the reason for that?is that for thermal expansion or for some other reason?

engineer1985,
They are expansion loops have been considered in order to absorb displacements due to thermal expansions in the pipelines subject to wide temperature range.
