Hello All,
Does anyone know if a aluminium pontoon type internal floating roof will be compatible in Sour Water Service? The only data I have is that there is 4% salt solution and 900 pmmw H2S.
Thanks....

BTE,

Aluminum is corrosion-resistant to hydrogen sulfide. Aluminum internal floating roofs are routinely used for sour crude oil storage tanks.

Aluminum is compatible with dilute sulfuric acid at normal ambient temperatures.

I don't foresee any problem for using an aluminum internal floating roof for you sour water storage tank.

Regards,
Ankur.
