Hi,
I am to design a contact condenser with the feed gas stream at the top of the column. The feed stream contains HTF (therminol VP-1) and low boilers. The purpose is to condense HTF only to be send to a expansion tank. The low boilers are to be sent to another vessel to be separated farther and removed from the system. For the spray condenser design, do the same vessel design parameters used for flash vessels (Souders-Brown) apply? Are there separate methods for the design of the vessel alone, and the design of the spray nozzles?
I have the inlet conditions of the vapor stream only (flow rate, T and P).
Thank you so much in advanced for your help!
