Hemantwarhekar,
Like many aspects of process design, refrigeration systems cannot be reduced to a spreadsheet. There are a number of questions that you should consider first:
  • what is the required temperature of the cold end (evaporator?
  • what is the required temperature of the hot end (condenser)?
  • what refrigerant fluid will you use?
These three facts will determine the pressures in the system.
Then, commence the design by the usual method of making a heat balance, and calculating the flow of refrigerant. Then you can determine the heat duties, the compression power, and the piping sizes.
There are a number of ways that the system can be optimised to reduce power, reduce costs etc, which require a grasp of the process. None of this work is done on a spreadsheet.
