Truck liquid is unload using pressurized nitrogen flow to inside truck tank. Unload liquid flow rate = 167 kg/hr. Density =1000 kg/m3. nitrogen inlet pressure to the tank = 1kg/cm2g. how much nitrogen flow rate required to fill for replacing the volume? Truck volume 20 m3.

kindly reply me..

prabhakaran.nitt,

Total required nitrogen volume (assumed the tank initially is full of liquid) would be 20 cu.meters at pressure of 1 kg/cm2.g

The rate of nitrogen flow rate, if system's hydraulic change during unloading wouldn't cause liquid flow rate to be changed, is 167 lit/hr.

One more point: With such low unloading flow rate the total unloading time would be around 120 hours!
