Does anyone have an excel calculation sheet for calculating the diameter and air flow requirement for
scrubbing and absorbing towers to remove ammonia?

kenravon,

The link provided below gives an excel spreadsheet for packed column scrubbers. For your specific application you may be required to build up your own calculation using the principles provided in the spreadsheet.

Dear Ankur Srivastava

Thank you for the Excel link. However, this excel is for scrubbing gas, which would work on the second stag of this process, where we have taken the Ammonia out of water. Do you know of any other excel sheet that provide removal of Ammonia from the water via blowing air through it?

Dear Ankur Srivastava

I sent you the following e-mail:
We had a couple of exchange at the Cheresources.com regarding this matter. I need some help in developing a design for the attached process, where we need to extract 4,550 mg/l of ammonia from 44 gallons per minute (GPM) of wastewater from a semiconductor facility. I do not have HYSYS, Chemcad or other process development software as their cost is quite high. I was wondering if you can help us with developing an excel sheet where we can input flow of wastewater with the concentration of ammonia and we can get the columns diameter and height, packing height, HTU and blowers CFM. There was also an attachment. That was the reason I sent you the e-mail as I do not know how to attach a file to this communication.
Would you please respond to this inquiry?
