Hi,
I have steam at 78barg and 300 deg C flowing through a pipe of 600# class, A105 (Carbon Steel) and a flowmeter is connected to it. Can I use SS316 as its wetted material? Do we need to change the pressure rating of piping and flowmeter to use SS316 for wetted material. Which ASME code to refer for such material selection. Is ASME B 16.34 of use for in deciding material?
Similar doubt what I have for the Valve. If the valve is 600# material for similar working fluid and flow conditions, how to decide on the trim material.
Thanks
Regards
Shaji
