Thereafter, I wish to do a postgrad degree that focuses on petroleum refiining and/or gas processing and/or petrochemicals production.
so far I have only been able to find the following degrees which meet this criteria:
1. MSc in Refinery Design & Operation - University of Manchester
2. MSc in Petroleum Refining Systems Engineering - University of Surrey
3. MSc (Part-time) in Petroleum Downstream Technology - University of Surrey
4. M.Tech in Petrochemicals & Petroleum Refinery Engineering - University of Calcutta
Currently, I can't afford to pay the international student fee of UK universities for postgrad taught degrees owing to financial constraints.
I hope other forum members can enlighten me regarding any other universities offering such degrees ?
Secondly, the curriculum of most of the Petroleum Engineering postgrad degrees, that I've come across, focuses predominantly on the upstream aspects of Petroleum Engineering.
Besides the degrees mentioned above the only degree, as per my limited knowledge, that has significant focus on downstream or Chemical Engineering aspects of Petroleum Engineering is the postgrad degree offered by University of Calgary as it offers the following optional courses:
ENCH 503 – CRUDE OIL UPGRADING AND REFINING PROCESSES
ENCH 607 - NATURAL GAS PROCESSING
ENCH 609 - NATURAL GAS PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY
ENCH 665 - WASTE WATER ISSUES FOR THE OIL & GAS INDUSTRY
Are there any other postgrad degrees titled "Petroleum Engineering/Technology" which have such a significant focus on the downstream aspects or Chemical Engineering of Petroleum Engineering ?
