Here's the situation. I have a DC with16 trays. My feed is suppose to enter at tray number 12 and the tray is to be counted from the top of DC. So does it mean that the feed tray is at the 12th tray by counting the first tray starting from the top of DC or it's the 4th tray from the top of DC (this means the first tray is counted from from the bottom of the DC). There's a little confusion here as my lecturer is telling the class that the feed tray is at the 4th tray from the top of the DC. Isn't it's suppose to be the 12th tray if it was to be counted from the top of DC?

To errase the doubt you should perform a simple calculation(simulation) using Mac cabe & Thiele methodology to visualize the position of the feed .
note : Start counting from the top .
Hope this helps
