Dear all,

I have heat exchanger with water and HC streams If I will change water outlet temperature - as result HC outlet temperature will change as well. Flow is const. Does it changes are depend with heat trans. area of exchanger? If no what will be change? How I can see it in Hysys? Regards.

HI Dear.
you know that heat transfer in exchanger calculate as:
Q=F*U*A*LMTD
F= correction factor ,
U=Overall Heat transfer coef.
A=Heat transfer area,
LMTD=Log mean temp difference.

so you can change any of this parameter to changing heat transfer in H.X. now in Hysys simulation, you can change area by changing number of Tubes or F factor by changing exchangers configuration. I think in your simulation file, the Value of LMTD changed
