Hello friends,

Is any options simulate crude oil separation in Hysys V 7.3 without Crude oil license? What oil analysis should I have? Available is only Aspen Hysys V 7.3, and I need to simulate gas-oil separator in Hysys. Please help me with it

Regards

I wouldn't recommend doing this without the Crude license. You could create hypothetical components for the various oil cuts - the API technical databook and ASTM Manual 50 have methods for doing so and estimating the properties of each fraction. However, this is a fairly intensive process, which is why the "Crude License" is so valuable - it stream lines it significantly.

You are right the Crude oil license is required for it.
But we have the possibility to make express analysis of crude oil and as result we should have components vol% or mol%. I can specify it in Hysys. Am I right?

It is doubtful you can get a detailed pure component analysis of crude oil - there are too many components and no test will be accurate enough. Also, many of the components may not exist in the HYSYS pure component database.

You will need to generate pseudocomponents / hypotheticals. See the references I noted for how this is done manually.
