Sirs
I have some problem in understanding the relation between discharge pressure, flow , current ( amperage) and power of centrifugal pump . does any body have relating reading material for the appropriate equations relating above parameters
thanks in advance

Jacques Chaurette is a French-Canadien that is fluent in centrifugal pumps and explaining how they work - or should work. He has written a very practical and simple book on centrifugal pumps that he offered for free on the web some years ago. I downloade it, but don't have here with me now. If I find it, I'll upload it here for you and all others who are interested. It is a Word Processing Document, so you can easily read it and print it out.

I just found the compressed file that I have of this free book, but it is in .pdf format.
As I have said, Jacques Chaurette offered this book free some years ago on his website and asked for any feedback to improve on it.
I have found this book is very simple and practical in reading it. The analysis of a pumping system is very well explained in simple language and with a minimum of any high mathematics. I recommend it to any young engineer - or student - that is starting to familiarize himself/herself with pumping systems and how they should be installed and connected.
I also recommend you visit Jacques' new website and look through all the information he offers.
