I am considering pipe in pipe counter current type heat exchanger to heat water. I am working on fouling in inner pipe (water) as well as outer pipe(steam). My questions are:
1]Whether fouling will be there on outer side of inner tube? (can saturated steam causes fouling?)
2] Fouling causes pressure drop that results in loss in flow rate and affects heat transfer and that should increase in outlet temperature of water. How we can prove this mathematically?
3] Deposition causes in decrease in heat transfer coefficient because of its thickness. This will also affect on water outlet temperature. Can we prove this mathematically?
I want to show these effects indivisually and then combined effect.
Will someone guide on this?
Thank you in advance.
