Hi Guys
I’m new to this industry. Can anyone give some guidance??
Process Flow:
We manufacture adhesive products with high viscosity (Viscosity range: 75,000 ~ 120,000 / Specific Gravity: 1.04 ~ 1.08). The RMs are mixed properly in mixer and then being pumped into Packing Machine.
Issue:
We experienced many times of under-filled products by our Packing Machine and noticed the pressure-drop on the pressure gauge of that Packing Machine. Suspect the root cause is pump’s insufficient to provide enough pressure due to long piping system & high viscosity product.
Aim:
We just decided to install a new Mixer. Therefore, we would like to take advantage of this opportunity to re-arrange the layout of existing ones to decrease the piping length so that believe current pump is capable of supplying enough pressure.
Can anyone give some guidance?? What engineering calculations do we need to verify the effective of modified layout?? How can we guarantee the pump is sufficient enough?? How?
Please feel free should you need more information. Thanks in advance. Much appreciate.
