Dear Professionals,

I am designing a wet surface air cooled heat exchanger where i have an issue to calculate the water requirement to cool down the ambient air and process fluid respectively.
please share any web link, spreadsheet, formulas or any other helping material or even a datasheet for estimation of water consumption(GPM).

Regards,

Process Engineer

Brondy,

The only chart that will help you is "psychrometric chart". If you send me the required process data, I will design your system.
.
Dear brondy,
Thanks for your interest ..... Sizing is to be made on the following designing conditions.

Exchanger Duty = 1.75 MMBTU/hr
Dry bulb Temp = 131 F
Wet Bulb Temp = 96 F
Process fluid In = 169 F
Process fluid Out = 110 F
.
.

Dear Brondy,
Can you please tell me the formula or procedure, according to which you have calculated the water requirement in cooler. While, as per my proceeding water requirement were appr 9 GPM and as per your 900 Kg/h this is app 4 GPM.

Process Engineer
