Hello

Our plant has a double fired heater, but we have a problem that heat flux distribution is not same through out the heater..can any one tell me what are the reasons for that...??

I found following, please tell me if any other reason may be possible..

1. Pressure difference of Fuel Gas,
2. improper flue gas draft

Need a lot more information here to help ...

- Firebox design, cabin, cylindrical etc.
- Burner type, number, arrangement
- Arrangement of process side, one pass or many pass's ?
- How do you know the heat flux is not even?

Some things that spring to mind are i) undersized fuel gas header to burners ii) different air register setting on burners iii) uneven process flow iv) tramp air into firebox

Sadly at the moment your request is so vague there could be any number of problems!
