Hello Everyone,
I am trying to convert the Filter differential pressure drop (3 psi) to a K-value. This way the DP changes with the flow rate. Does anyone know the Specific DP to K value formula for FILTERs? Thank you very much for your help.

I am surprised. No one knows the answer...Or is this just a stupid question?

The "K" factor is related to the pipe size of the fitting, or more specifically the velocity in the line.
K=2gh / v^2
where h is head loss in feet
and v is fps
There is a nice discussion of this in Crane TP410, which I recommend.

Gvdlans is correct about where to get the book.
If you will do any fluid flow work, the price is a bargain. I might add that there also is software available from http://www.abzinc.com/ which appears to be excellent. I have not tried that yet, only because of economics.
Best to you,
