Hi

I am a final year mechanical engineering student. My project is to design an adsorption unit for adsorption of natural gas and I need any reference that can help me :)

thanks in advance

Ahmed:

Being a mechanical engineering student, you probably haven't had much exposure to the adsorption process.
I have had to edit your post to reflect the correct spelling of the word.

What you describe doesn't make complete sense. In the adsorption process, it is essential to identify what it is that you are adsorbing on the surface of the adsorbent material. Do you seriously intend to adsorb natural gas onto an adsorbent? That would mean that you are treating a gaseous mixture in which the natural gas is an undesirable impurity. Is that correct?

Or is it that you are trying to adsorb another impurity from a natural gas stream? ---- such as water moisture contained in natural gas? Please be specific on what you are dealing with and what compound(s) you desire to adsorb.

I have uploaded a tutorial on how to design an adsorption unit in our Forums for use by members. You can find this file and download it for your use by using the SEARCH feature in our webpage.

thank you for your advice & i promise you i will do my best :D

description of the process

i have a stream of gas and i wanna to reduce it's dew point

so i pass it through adsorption unit which use silica gel as adsorbent to adsorb water moisture from natural gas

thanks in advance
