Dear all!

Can you help me to determine that is there any difference in blowdown calculation results (peak flowrate, lowest temperature...) if blowdown valve is change from full bore open to reduced bore open!

Regards!

Youji257:

If you are employing a restriction orifice (RO) like the rest of everyone else, it doesn't make any difference as long as you take into consideration the CV of the reduced bore valve. Both valves would be 100% open with the RO being upstream. This assumes you're blowing down a gas-filled vessel. You should always state all your basic data when you ask a question like this. Otherwise, this thread will turn out to be several pages long.
