Good day everyone,

I am currently a 3rd year student trying to model out an NGCC power plant (sour feed) with carbon capture capabilites however, I am facing a couple of problem related to Hysys in key stages and would like to seek your humble guidance. My difficulty lies in the simulation on the combustion of natural gas in a sense that what I am expecting to be produced (NOx and SOx) is not present. I have input the following set of of equations:

1)CH4 + O2 = CO2 + H20
2)CH4 + O2 = CO + 2H20
3)C3H8 + 3.502 = 3C0 +4H20
4) CO + 0.5 O2 = CO2
5) H2S +1.5 O2 = SO2 + H20
6) SO2 + 0.5O2 = SO3
7) N2 + O2 = 2 NO
8) NO + 0.502 = NO2

Equation 1-5 can be put under the same reaction set but Hysys is preventing me from grouping eqn 6-8 saying that they are not independent. I have tried to use a Gibbs reactor for the process but it seems that it does not have enough gibbs data values to continue the calculation while setting it in an equilibrium reactor does not yield any NOx and SOx. I would greatly appreciate any kind of help and a thousand thanks in advance.

P.S utilising Peng-Robinson Fluid Package and setting reaction temperature 1400 deg C.

Warmest Regards.
