What are the criteria to decide whether to provide single control valve or two control valves in parralel ?
When we go for two control valves in parallel ?

Pengg,

Two control valves are provided in parallel when there is a large turndown requirement which cannot be met by a single valve alone satisfactorily.

There are also cases when two valves are provided in parallel in critical services to improve reliability.
