Hi,
I am a young professional and I am facing more in depth corrosion control in boilers. My handbook refers to two different types of boilers: Resistance and Electrode.
Can you explain me the difference?

Thank you in advance!

Resistance boiler is understood as Electrical resistance boiler. The latter heats water by passing alternative current (usual voltage ~200-600) through (solid) ohmic resistances, thus converting electric energy to heat.
A special kind of Electric boiler is the Electrode boiler. In the latter water is heated by conducting alternative current (to avoid electrolysis, usual voltage ~6000) through its mass. Water itself serves as electrical resistance.
This conclusion has been obtained from Web, see attached "elboiler.doc" for more references (links).
