I am trying to find out if the TiO2 and Fe2O3 content is critical for inert ceramic balls in kero dryier service. This is going to be used as support for a kero dryer. I have a supplier with 0.2% content of TiO2 and other with 2.8% TiO2. I understand TiO2 is inert and it will be inert at least at the temperature of the dryerr 100-115 F. So both supplier in principle are acceptable for this service

The Fe2O3 leachable content is <0.1% but the non leachable Fe2O3 is 2.8% vs 0.8% in other supplier.

The question is that if it does not make any difference for the process (kero) to use ceramic balls with relatively high TiO2 (2.8%) and Fe2O3 (2.8%) content.

Thanks!
