Hi all
Does anyone have any experience, or have done a plant design specifically for the liquefaction of an ethane rich feed (90%+ C2 content, C3 and minimal C1) for storage in a (near) atmospheric tank (at ~87degC)?
Pls what liquefaction process what employed - what refrigerants etc were used in the liquefaction?

Thanks for any help!

Is it just me or does it sound alot like a liquefied natural gas process? Or are you describing a LPG process?

I would say that a cascade propane ethylene refrigeration cycle is commonly used in similar cases.
