How do the orifice coefficient (Co) and venturi coeffcient (Cv)vary with the Reynolds number calculated at the throat? Any explanation for this variation?

The "Head Meter" section of the chapter on "Fluid and Particle Mechanics" in "Perry's Chemical Engineers Handbook" has quite a good discussion on this subject. In my Sixth Edition of Perry's, that section is on pages 5-12 through 5-16.
