I am being asked by my Boss to provide the process layout for utilities line to the production floor in my company. In my understanding, I believe he mean the P&ID;amp;I. Please can any body help me out how to do this or if anybody have similar projects to tell me how to do it.

A process layout of the utilities lines and a P&ID is pretty different. You should clarify with your boss. Its not a good idea to blunder into the wrong scope of work and then have to redo... It will make you look very bad...

Layout would generally mean to actually show where the pipe is going.  He may be talking about an isometric drawing.  But as thorium said, you should clarify with your boss.

I just started ~1 year ago and I know how ambiguous terms can be at first.  Just clear it up the first time, then you'll know from there on out.
