I want know how one decides when and what types of mechanical seal to be used.

 

Single or Double?

 

What are these IP 23/61/11 etc...Plans?How are they used and judged?

 

Is these the Mechanical seal flushing plans?

 

IF these are mechanical seal flush plans what are there exact purpose ?

mechanical seal selection depends on a number of factors 

-type of fluid handled(clean or dirty)

-temperature and pressure of fluid

-whether fluid is flammable or not
