Fittings and Valves for Biodiesel Equipment

 

Me and my group mates are currently working on our Plant Design course, with our selected topic Biodiesel Production from Crude Coconut Oil. Right now, we are on the process flow diagram and P&ID, is there any regulating body and/or international standard directing what kind of fittings and valves are required per equipment.

 

Our process utilizes the following equipment:

 

Storage tanks (vented and ambient T)

CSTR (Pre-esterification, Trans-esterification)

Mixer

Condenser

Heater

Vacuum Dryer

Stripper

Plate and Frame Filter

Centrifuge 

Acidulation Reactor
