Hi all,

When filling out equipment specification sheets, there seems to be always an item called 'Service' to fill in. Does this mean how frequent the piece of equipment should be serviced or something else? I had thought this initially but then I found a sheet where the engineer had to tick boxes rather than fill in his own answers - the answers were 1. Lethal, 2. Cyclic, 3. Other

If anyone could clarify this for me, I would be delighted!

Thanks.

ski,

The term of "service" in a equipment data sheet normally referes to the  nature of the material would be handled by that equipment and dosen't make any sense with equipment sevice or something like this. Some other types are "toxic", "sour",...This information will give a feed back to the manufacturers to consider safety issues in their manufacturing procedures and materials selection such that the end users can operate the equipment in safe condition...
