Dear all

 

 

 
I find myself having to do with polymer solutions, practically rubber ...
until now I have been dealing with machines for the refinery and gas (pump, compressors, turbines and so on) ..
 
what precautions should I use for machines that treat rubber? what do I have to be careful in particular?

Just some input..

 

A defining characteristic of most polymer solutions is viscosity.  Whether you have to pump it, collect it, heat it, etc etc.

 

The viscosity is dependent on many factors, notably shear stress.  However, not all polymers behave similiarly to increased shear.  Some decrease in viscosity while others increase.

 

Also, the heat of reaction for polymeric reactions.  These have an effect on viscosity.  Temperature transition states are normally your operating temperature boundaries.

ok thanks this was a confirmation of what I had guessed ..
 
polymeric materials are characterized by high viscosity variation ... specifically how this affects on materials of which should be built the eventual pump??
 
of such controls should not need a pump like that?
 
the warm-up for pumps of this kind from which the temperatures generally?
