Hello All,

I am wondering if anyone here had worked with a Viking Graham Atmospheric Relief Valve protecting a surface condenser heat exchanger. I have the manufacturer's capacity of 23,100 lbs/hr for steam at a testing pressure of 0.41 psig, from there I back-calculated my Kd (0.39) using API 520 Sizing for Steam Equation. However, I am not given a liquid capacity, so what I did was convert that steam mass flow rate to a volumetric flow rate and tried to use the Sizing for liquid equation from API 520 but I don't think that approach is valid as my Kd came out to be a lot bigger than 1 (6.8). Therefore, I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions/reccomendations? Thanks in advance.
