Dear all,

               i am not much more aware about flushing oil requirement in system.if we don't provide flushing oil in system what kind of effect occur in system? pls give me reasonable reason.

Dear pranav

 

First you have to explain your system which need flushing oil. (e.g. Instruments, pumps, instrument pipes, etc.)

Also you must give a clue about the process fluid.

Flushing oil is used for

a) Flushing of equipments(pumps,heat exchangers,filters,Process lines) which are in congealing service for taking them for maintenance/any other work

b)Purging of the instrument which are in congealing service to avoid clogging of the leads/sensing probe of the instruments(eg LG/LT/PT/FT)

c)Start Up of some of the Process units

 

Normally Diesel is used.However depending on pressure/temp of congealing service VGO may be used.
