Rubber lined carbon steel is a good option.

Dear Ashrath,

MSRL or CSRL tanks ( rubber lined ) are not successful to resist corrosion in long run; I have seen damage of rubber layers after 3-4 years of operation; non metallic tanks are recommended. It may be difficult to fabricate  but can resist corrosion. Hypo should not be stored for a long time as it is very unstable at high temperature and loses chlorine to the atmosphere and therby reduces the strength of Hypo from 12-14% to a very low level ( based on equlibrium properties). A  sun shed is a must .

Another important point in this tank design is to minimise number of flanges as the flanges are prone to leakage; I have experinced leakages in flanges and also pinhole leakages in lines/pumps/valves very often after few years of operation. I do recommend to have a common level trolley for LG,LI/LT and level switches.

3rd point is to install a solenoid operated valve ( DCS/ESD operated) on tank filling line with a start pernissive to open and close at tank high level  for safety reason.

Kind regards,

Satyajit
