 Hi everyone,

Why when I add a fitting segment between two pipe segments, the performance tab shows the the total pipe ( distance, elevation and increments ) but when I see the profile either there is nothing on it or there is the pipe segment details before the fitting.
Please anyone can help.

Thanks

Could you post a screenshot of the problem?

Hysys convert the fitting segment to equivalent length.

You must enter in HYSYS the equivalent length of the fittings. HYSYS does not have that option, in this case it is recommended to simulate PIPEPHASE

Actually, although hysys says to add length/equivalent length, the manual actually states to input actual length. Also, the reason hysys does not have the option is because it is calculated internally based on segment data like what shan has said.

However, I believe the problem the OP is actually referring to is as attached. As one can see, it is actually actual length and not equivalent length that is used, therefore the first row is 0. The second row implies the 5 increments used to calculate various parameters from the length of 0 to 32.81ft. The third row is the third fitting, which has 0 actual length and is calculated with 1 increment, from 32.81ft to 32.81ft and hence the fourth row.

The details of the fittings can be seen under "View Segment".

I assume this is the reason for the OP's question, but as the OP has not clarified with a screenshot etc, I shall leave it as it is.
