Hi,

 

      I am working in edible oil refinery. We are processing oil in deodorizer (Multistock) in which we are using sparging steam (saturated) for agitation and removing FFA. can anyone help me to calculate amout of sparging steam i.e. in kg/hr. some of information in this regard are as follows

 

sparging steam pressure- 2.5 bar

sparging steam temp- 170⁰C

orifce size of different trays 

tray second  1.5

tray third 1.5

tray Fourth 5

tray Fourth 2 

tray Fifth 5 

tray Fifth 2 

tray Sixth 1.5

tray Seventh 1.5

tray Eighth 1.5
