To know the minimum reflux ratio when designing a distillation column, one must use the underwood equation. What I know is that this equation is done only for multicomponent mixture but how about the binary ones? Is it alright if I use the McCabe Thiele method in finding the minimum reflux ratio instead of the underwood when designing? Thank you very much.
