Hello,

I would like to estimate the compressibility of CO2 and water brine. My reservoir is a 70°C and 118.43 Bar in 1200m of depth.

I saw that I need the compressibility factor of CO2. But, how estimate the other parameters that I need for my calcul?

Thank you for your help!

if you have CO2 and water at 70 C 118.43 Bar

possibly (depending from amount of water)

you may wish to calculate the parameters for the mixture

and evaluate the fraction dissolved in water,

by the way at 70 C 118.43 Bar you are

above critical pressure and temperature for C02,

while water will be (mostly) in liquid state,

you may need to evaluate how water and CO2 interact

or decide to calculate the compressibility for CO2 only,

then you may use a EOS to calculate density / volume or

some generic correlation (if applicable)

To provide a number,

for pure CO2 density at 70 C 118.43 Bar is about 337 Kg/m3
