Help me with this exercise: determine the gap/overlap value of fractions.

Hello,

You have done it correctly. It is usually D86 T5 and T95 points. I presume these temperatures used in your excel refer to D86/D1160 and not TBP.

e.g. T5% of any cut/product minus the 95% of preceding cut/product is positive you have "Gap" i.e. good fractionation and if it is negative then it is "Overlap". In case of overlap, I will not say this is poor or bad fractionation if the estimated Overlap is is within the normal range.
