Hi friends, I want simulate with Hysys oil well multiphase flow measurement (output), reported like gas, water and oil, I think that a mixer could be feasible, mixing three flows at measuring conditions of temperatura and pressure, but I don't know how to do it, please give me some ideas to do it, do I have to mix gas flow with water to satúrate besides BSW?is feasible validate these measurements with Hysys? Thanks in advance for your help

Hi,

The answer is " Yes, you can do it with Hysys". For further help, refer Hysys upstream options guide (attached for your reference, pre-requisite is should have valid license to use it).

Thanks for your help but if I have not license of Upstream, can I do it with the others elements of hysys? Because I read a thesis where the flows are mixed to get the multiphase flow output and then compare with three phase test separator...I have compositions dry base, wet base and gas and liquid, What of these compositions do I have to use to simulate each stream (gas, water, oil) and then mix them?

I have measurements for each stream too of course, BPD water and oil and MMCFD to gas, I need to simulate them and compare these real measurements with three phase separator in order to find any difference between them

doesn't your license include three phase flash ?

With that you should be able to solve vapor+oil+water equilibria,

once you know the equilibrium values of each phase at specified conditions (separator)

you may define a little procedure to simulate the separator (keeping in account real parameters),

for similar calc's

I use a different software (PRODE PROPERTIES)

and a page in Excel,

you may do the same with your simulator.

thanks Paolo, but I want to reproduce  well head multiphase flow measurements reported like oil, water  and gas, and then validate them with three phase separator, I have compositions reported like dry base, wet base and gas and liquid, my question is, what of those compositions I have to use for gas and oil stream? I know pressure, temperatura and flow rate

I checked my data, I have chromatography for gas only, until C6+, but I need analysis of heavy fraction (crude oil), I have a question, are there the same correlations for C6+ and C7+? What are the differences to characterize them? Thanks for you replies.
