Hi All,

 

Is there any way to make a global change to all pipe segments (or any Unit Ops in that sense) in HYSYS?

For example: Updating pipe roughness in all pipe segments which I already have in my simulation.

Hi,

I am not sure, if it will work but you can try. Use a spreadsheet and specify the parameter say Temp, Pressure or pipe geometry related. This is will be an user input so you can export the value, in this case in any other cell give the reference of this value and export from there to all pipe segments. Example as below,

Spreadsheet

Cell A1="Temperature"

Cell B1= "40" (deg C)

Cell C1= "=B1" i.e. 40 deg C

Right click on cell C1 and export this value to multiple stream (where user specified temperature is input and calculated by simulator)

 

The above example works. You can extend it to pipe geometry and check if it works.

Just export the pipe roughness to all pipe segments.

 

Please let me know too as I have never tried this before.
