I would appreciate some input on computation of physical properties downstream of compressors during a relief event. To simplify, assume a recip compressor. My thought would be to assume adiabadic or isentropic pressurization up to the RV. What about downstream of the RV - still isentropic, or would you assume isenthalpic?
A second case would also involve the recip compressor, but in this case flow is through a tube rupture. Isentropic all the way to the RV, or only isentropic through the nozzle break, then isenthalpic down to, and through, the relief valve?
Any thoughts, or literature citations would be welcome.
